Course Description

You're writing a book, and you need to design a cover, right?

You're in the right place.

Perhaps you are brand new to graphic design, or maybe you know a little bit about designing with tools like Photoshop.

Either way, this is the perfect course for you to learn how to design your own ebook cover.

What makes me qualified to teach you?

My name is Phil, and I've written 3 Kindle books that reached the top of Amazon's Best Seller Lists. I design the covers for all of my own books. Plus, I'm the creator of some of the world's most popular online courses - with over 150,000 students and thousands of 5-star reviews like these ones from this course:

Straight and to the point. Phil explains the content well. He also shows you examples of good ebook covers, and bad ones. Amy had some amazing content as well, that really made me start thinking about different titles, and how I buy content on Amazon. - Frank Ward

Thank yo Phil - a new world has opened up for me because of your course! Now that I know how to design book covers, I just want to start writing again - thanks you rock! - Landi Jac

I liked this course as I thought it might be too difficult for me but the instructor made things clear and understandable. - Carolyn Wilhelm

My Promise to You

I'll be here for you every step of the way. If you have any questions about the course content or anything related to this topic, you can always post a question in the course or send me a direct message.

I want to make this the best course on how use Adobe After Effects. So if there is any way I can improve this course, just tell me and I'll make it happen.

What's this course all about?

If you have ever thought about writing an eBook or have already written one, you know having a killer eBook cover is very important. eBook covers make or break the life of an eBook. Unfortunately, the adage don't judge a book by its cover doesn't work online.

Buyers browsing through the Amazon Kindle, Apple iBook, or Google Play stores first and foremost judge a book by its cover.

Your eBook cover has to stand out from the hundreds of other books online. This takes a lot of skill and knowledge of not only design but marketing.

In this course, you'll learn how to make a cover that stands out, gets more clicks, and more sales.

Learn from two great instructors! I teach thousands of students online who love my courses. Just check out all the reviews to my other courses. I have brought in another instructor from the UK to co-teach this course.

Amy from the UK is a professional graphic designer with a knack for teaching online. She'll take us through some basic graphic design theory, teach eBook cover research and theory, and give us her top 10 tips on creating an awesome eBook cover.

This course will have demonstrations and follow-along tutorials so you can easily learn how to make an eBook in Photoshop.

Follow along with me as I create my own eBook cover for my eBook Diary of a Film Student.

Some of the other highlights of this course include:

✓ Learn all the Photoshop basics you need for designing an ebook cover

✓ How to get a free trial of Photoshop

✓ Design so the thumbnail will look amazing

✓ Learn the different formats and sizes for all online eBook publishers

✓ Photoshop templates available for download

✓ Follow Amy in real time as she creates an eBook cover

✓ Save your eBook cover in the proper format for upload

✓ …and so much more!!

With our 30-day 100% money back guarantee, there is nothing holding you back from jumping in right now and trying the course out.

Cheers,

Phil

This course was a very good introduction to the process of cover design. I felt like both instructors were qualified to teach in their respective fields and that it delivered the value I was hoping for. The reason I selected a four-star rating instead of five is that some of the videos, particularly in the intro part of the series, took much longer than they needed to without delivering on content. There were a few where the instructor kept repeating the same info and could have said the same thing in half the length of time. Once we got into the actual content, I really liked it and learned a lot about the crucial concepts of cover design from Amy and simple techniques that a beginner can do in Photoshop from Phil.

It's help you to know every thing about e_book more than give you real practical on Photoshop with more details and inside Photoshop, but it's really good, I like it

Not a good course. First few lectures are largely about Ebiner and very self involved and lengthy. There is a lot of waffle in this course which doesn't help or inspire. Lecture style is too casual and drawn out to make the course longer. Suddenly we have "Amy", another instructor who is not introduced, nor do we know what her background in graphics or ebook design is. Her lecture on rules for graphic design starts with "Colour is important"!!! Really too basic for most people. Photoshop skills are very basic and Ebiner mostly promotes his own photoshop course to purchase. For anyone with graphics skills this is way to basic and time wasting. Course is fleshed out with many descriptions of ebook covers with very dull comments. Project at end is very basic. You would need more skill with photoshop to design covers, particularly to sell. Unimpressed.

This is a GREAT course. It has all the key information needed to get the cover for your ebook done. The tips that Amy give about colours and text seems simple but a lot of times this concepts are underrated. Phil is such a nice instructor that is able to transfer his knowledge to you without any complicated explanation, just in a plain and simple way. This is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED course.

By Frank Ward on 4/5/2016

Straight and to the point. Phil explains the content well. He also shows you examples of good ebook covers, and bad ones. Amy had some amazing content as well, that really made me start thinking about different titles, and how I buy content on Amazon. Started to all make sense! A nice page or two pdf with wrap up material from Amy would have been good. Color temps, how they are normally used, and Amy's top 10 tips.

By Heidi Nielsen on 1/25/2015

Content was very useful, but the delivery is annoying. Too much talking in the beginning, and the pace is too slow until the end, when the instructor is actually demonstrating useful information. However I did pick up some useful information about creating ebook covers, even though I use Gimp, not Photoshop. I just skipped the Photoshop lectures.

It is a very good and simple course that will help you to learn the basics of creating your first E-book cover. I, however, think it's a bit expensive for what it is taught. Don't get me wrong; the information is pretty good. But I think that adding more of the "Nuts & Bolts" of designing a book cover would be better for people with more knowledge or experience with Photoshop (experience that beginners can eventually achieve). I know that the first half of the course is theory and it is needed, but, getting to the final half the course became exponentially better and got me very interested. As a finally thought, I think the course is good. A bit too expensive for what it offers, but good nonetheless. I'm also pretty sure that it can get better with a few updates here and there and then the $50 course will be well worth it. Thank you Philip for all your help!

4.75 stars given for a really good course. The ding of a quarter point is just because it's not as strong in graphic design as I had wished...BUT it gets bonus points for helping me learn more about some basic Photoshop challenges I was having. I will definitely look for more of Phil's courses to take. He's a really likable guy, and knows his stuff.

By Camille Freeman on 8/4/2013

As a complete novice, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to follow along. Phil makes everything very easy, clearly explaining each step from the beginning. The examples are helpful, particularly because Phil walks you through his thought process around creative design & how to choose from various options. Great course - thanks!

I had NO expectations going into this course with ONE exception - and that ONE exception was met. So great job there! I'm a writer and product creator myself, but after taking this course I look at research a little different and I now feel that I can educate others on the importance of getting their own eBook covers to pop and sell. Nicely done Philip!
