I've had a chance to expand my breathing recognize where the sounds I've been using come from. This is allowing me to continue to expand upon what I was already doing. Really enjoying the course so far!

Good course! Instructor explains at a pace, which every person can understand!

As this is one of a few acting/voice acting courses I have done, there are some things I like and some things I dislike. First the good: Warmup, breath exercises and such are covered pretty extensively and clearly. An in-depth explanation of resonators is something I have not previously encountered in an acting class and was to me the most useful part of this course. Now the bad: There was little actual acting involved throughout the course as far as i'm concerned. Simply saying a word or short sentence with a different emotion or archetype behind it doesn't involve much acting as far as I'm concerned. The emotion should be derived much more from the context of the scene. Furthermore, the part of voice acting where you are standing behind a microphone and the freedom and restriction that gives you was not explored much either. Lastly, I felt some exercises were flimsily put together to have something to do and not given enough attention to be useful. One example is an exercise where you need to match the audio to one of a few videos, supposedly to learn to understand why the performance is the way it is. Instead of matching audio to an emotion, or the age of the character, or anything that would influence the performance, we simply match it to the video itself. The exercise becomes more about matching the lips of the characters in the video options to the audio than about actual understanding. Not only that, but very commonly known series and movies are used that are easily recognizable, and the three video options that were wrong are then reused for the next audio clip. If you simply remember the order in which new videos are introduced, you can do the exercise that way. In short, some sections in this course really don't add much as far as I am concerned and that's a shame. Overall, I would not recommend this course to anyone, let alone at full price. Some parts have some useful information, but there are better acting classes out there.

it looks like what I was looking for, based on physical exercise rather than a lot of talking.

A wonderful course! What I liked most is that it‘s not only theory but very practical. I learned a lot and exploring and playing with my voice was fun.

Just starting out, it was an interesting first course.

It makes me feel good to do something, to stretch, to work with my body and the whole chapter was really nicely made, I do like it!

I'm just starting to get into voice acting and this course was amazing with very nice instructions and details for beginners :)

By Sierra Modica on 5/11/2023

This was incredibly informative, and understanding why I need to do it really helps with the ridiculous nature of it all. I'll probably be coming back to this video until I get a good handle on the routine. Thank you!

Excellent course. A lot of experience and insight has been packed in the presentations in a very simple, non-complicated style. Thank you.
