Course Description
Developing a 2D game with Jetpack Compose is possible. And not only that, we’re gonna target four different platforms, like: Android, iOS, Desktop and even Web (Kotlin WASM)! I’m gonna teach you how to create engaging game, by sharing 100% of the codebase. Both the business logic and the UI.
The app itself will have a native performance on each platform. No need to worry about sacrificing the efficiency. Because we will be using Kotlin Multiplatform technology, as well as Compose Multiplatform framework to share the UI between platforms.
The game itself is basically a copy of a Flappy Bird. Besides jumping around, realistic physics, collision detection, score counting and sprite sheet animation, I’m gonna teach you how to implement various sound effects to make this game more engaging for the user.
Plus at the end of this course, I’ll show you how to export and deploy this game as a static website that you can share publicly, so that other people can try out and play the game that you have created!
In just two hours you’re gonna acquire the skill, that in the past required a team of developers with the knowledge of various technologies. Kotlin Multiplatform is the future. Because you can launch you own startup ideas as a solo developer, quickly.

The app logic and functionality are great. Overall, this course is very informational and contains LOADS of good tips and tricks to get a game quickly deployed to iOS, Android, Web and Desktop. The end source code is a great resource to have. My one criticism would be the instructor goes quite quick when describing the coding. It is very hard to keep up with the coding as it is being done (it's played back in high speed and spoken over). Having said that, this is a good course. Thanks!

The information is great. I do like the content but some of the videos everything is explained a little too fast. The cut aways are a little too fast. More comments during the coding would definitely be more helpful.

A fun project. I liked it.

Nice introduction to Compose multiplatform with a new idea of creating a cool game instead of Todo-apps and whatsoever!

Everything was super clear and consize, not counting the commercial on how to deploy a web app. A little CI/CD script on how to build for all platforms would have been a great deployment section.

I'm going to develop a game application with KMP and facing this course is such a miracle. Good to start with the best practice of implementing several things, which are significant to make the game more fun and enjoyable!
By Tim Wiechmann on 1/12/2025
A follow up course on structuring the game would be nice. Right now, the game class feels really cluttered and it doesn't look like good architecture.
