Teacher seems unwilling to do basic editing or prep work for each lecture. Adding two minute videos five lectures later to make up for things missed in earlier ones is incredibly unprofessional and reflects poorly on Udemy as a whole, since this was my first experience with it. Read the other reviews before buying.

I really liked the course, I had the opportunity to learn some of the more basic stuff in coding for python, which my full python course didn't go over. Thanks a lot for this course, it really helped a lot.

why can you not give 0 stars, another Udemy course out of date, type 'Godot 3' in to there search box and you get Godot 2 courses. totally unprofessional, unplanned tutorial, makes it up as he goes along, therefor half the time he is correcting errors. his platform game is just a character moving and jumping, and the Flappy Bird clone no better. go to 'Discovering Godot: Make Video Games in Pypthon-like GDScript' for a great course.

Very introductory. Does the bare minimum with the game idea being discussed and also does it a bit sloppy. Will you learn anything in this course? Yes, you will, is it worth the price? No, it is not. The reference in the title to "The complete course" is definitely the wrong description for this course. There are much better Godot courses out there that you will benefit greatly from.

Not recommended for who is starting programming, it lacks of good explanation of programming fundamentals, it’s a ‘try if works’ code approach, and “it doesn’t work”, ‘it shouldn’t do this’: all this lead to confusion. It’s a live recording without any post edit. If is discussed in video 10, elif in 23, why? Why not recording again the video 10 and talking of these arguments together? Why not recording again tens of clips and replacing in videos with errors making so a flawless tutorial?

Great course! I really recommend this for learning the basics of the Godot. This really helped me too much, I hope it helps you too! Thank you for this course, I hope in the future you make a newer Godot course! Bye!

This course is matching my expectations. The instructor seems professional and is engaging. It is relatively technical, which is good for me. The programming language is like a mix of python and javascript, two amazing languages I like. I'm anxious to see more advances features, working with graphics, interaction between objects etc. I'm loving the course and godot seems to be a great engine (I don't know about unity or any other game engine in detail).

I liked the way the teacher covers several features offered by the godot engine, but I expected a little more applications in the games market that we have today, the title informs that it is not to teach to make games but rather the tool, based on my expectation and not offered, I can not give full rating, but the course deserves all the stars I gave.

After 3 chapters already, you know that this guy has a lot of experience and knows what he is talking about. Sometimes he rushes through the exercices and makes errors, but this isn't bad actually because he debugs live in front of your eyes. Keep it going man, i love your tutorials.

I'm glad I took this course, as it gave me a comprehensive introduction to Godot, to the point of being able to make complete games. That said, the instructor should have researched better the material prior to recording the lectures. What I liked: - It's very code-centric. It doesn't shy of teaching GDScript, which is essential to code the logic of a game. - the order of the topics is well chosen - it touches all essential parts of a 2D game (code and logic, graphics, audio, physics, level loading) - the instructor clearly likes doing games - the instructor is apt at explaining the core concepts; it shows that he has already done courses for other game engines. What I don't liked: - Clearly he is learning Godot "on-the-fly". It's not bad that it's a learning journey for both the instructor and the pupil, but he should really have researched the topics better. - The unedited errors. I don't mind the frequent errors so much as that when he err, he just tries another approach to the problem instead of fixing the bugs. - Although one of the examples is a platformer, he doesn't use the godot built-in tile map editor even though the official platformer example uses it (i.e. it's not an obscure feature). - In the sprites chapter, the part about bones is superfluous (he doesn't use them) - Godot recommends to use a different scene for each of the objects in the game and then instance a scene file as a node (the "chains" icon beside the "new node" icon), but he just toss everything in a single scene. Would I recommend this course? Yes, as there aren't many comprehensive tutorials on Godot yet. Note: Although the course is geared to Godot 2.1, most of it applies to Godot 3 (I've been using Godot 3beta1 to follow the course and the changes were manageable).
