I currently work as a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test, where I design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for complex web, API, and end-to-end systems. My background is strongly hands-on and architecture-focused—everything I teach is based on how automation works in real companies, not simplified demos.
I’ve been teaching on Udemy since 2018 and have helped 100,000+ students across 9 in-depth courses covering Selenium, RESTAssured, Java, Python, XPath, and modern test automation practices. My courses are structured, practical, and designed to give you skills you can apply immediately at work.
I continuously update my content to reflect current tools, best practices, and industry expectations, so you’re learning approaches that are relevant today—not outdated theory.
Whether you’re starting your automation journey or looking to level up professionally, my goal is to help you build confidence and strong, real-world automation skills.

As a self-taught Python and Java coder, I thought perhaps I'd be bored with the first sections of this course but was pleasantly surprised to learn a couple things I didn't know. Dmitry kept my interest the entire time while I played the video at 1.5 speed. Although I didn't know anything about JUnit, I found the lectures adequate enough to get the gist of it. Good job. My only recommendation would be to add module(s) introducing Selenium and any other automated test tools. I know there are separate courses for Selenium but Section 10 is a little short compared to everything else and I expected a little more from a course entitled "Java for Testers".

I really liked this course! Even though it's six hours long, it felt very fast to complete. Dmitry explains everything clearly, making it easy for beginners to follow along. There were only a few moments where I wished for a bit more explanation on where certain values or elements in Java were coming from, but overall, it was a great course. Highly recommended for beginners!

Java for Testers is an excellent course!! (I can say it's one of the best I’ve ever taken!!) Dmitry teaches the course with great excellence and a explains thing in a way that makes even Java seem easier hahahah. He takes a very interesting approach, starting with an introduction to Java, explaining how to create methods, classes, frameworks and refactor code, always showing examples that could be applied to testing, and providing references to websites/resources for deeper learning. If you're looking for a course with good teaching and dynamic content, this course is a perfect fit! I'd like to thank Dmitry for all the knowledge shared through this course.

Regarding the course: - Easy to follow, even at 1.5x speed. - Straight to the point. - Provides all the essentials needed so you can have a solid start with test automation in java. -Has practical "homework" so you can go over your skills by yourself. About the teacher: This is one of the best teachers I've found across Udemy. Is the third course I do from him and starting a fourth one right now. He knows what you need to learn on the subject, and gives it to you in a straight and easy to understand method, and as a plus, he never leaves questions unanswered, nor you will find points during your course where something he does does not work for you. 10/10!. Thanks for helping me move forward in this industry.

I appreciated that this course provided just enough detail to understand object-oriented programming without going too deep, which might discourage students from finishing or continuing to more advanced topics. Dmitry does an excellent job covering the basics, and it effectively prepared me for my goal of becoming familiar with Java before tackling Selenium. I feel well set up for success thanks to this course.

I feel like I learned a lot from the course. It was explained very clearly and it was easy to follow along. I enjoyed doing the homeworks and quizes. I think it's great for people who already have some programming experience and want to improve their java skills. My only criticism is that the chapter on testing could be longer and also include homework assignments like the previous ones. Overall it is a good course to polish your java skills and get intoduced testing.

Having taken some of the instructor's other classes, I can attest that he consistently delivers in-depth and understandable course content. His teaching style makes complex topics easy to grasp, and his dedication to students' learning is evident. Keep up the excellent work, and I look forward to taking more of your courses in the future. Your commitment to quality education is truly appreciated.

In the beginning I was able to understand it but after a few intro lectures I completely lost it. By the middle of this course I wasn't able to follow. I was expecting to learn how to test real life projects. But instead I found myself just observing the lines of code not knowing the meaning or application of it. I guess you need to memorize what each function means and then practice a lot. At the end it was just a bunch of code I did not understand.

Just what I needed to make the leap from Functional QA to QA Automation. I liked the way of teaching, first, you give the tools and immediately there is a challenge to apply what you have just learned. That enchanted me. The Java language courses are aimed at BackEnd developers, and they are too long and with topics that I am not going to use. This is dedicated and focused on software quality assurance, intended as a stepping stone to achieving the goal of QA Automation. 5 stars.

I am so glad that Dmitry has Java course now! My boss provided us with different Udemy course which is old, has a lot of outdated or not testing related information and takes forever to finish. Instead I purchased this course and so happy I did. So straightforward, clean and amazing teaching skills! Thank you for great explanations and assignments. I would always recommend Dmitry over any other teacher on Udemy
