Joomla: Create a Joomla Website This Weekend With NO CODING! (Udemy.com)

This course is extremely outdated. It is Nov 2022 now and the last update in the course was way back in 2017. Joomla is at version 4.1 now. Many resource links provided are broken. Only takeaways are the broad concepts. Disappointing.

The course is neat and well explained, it is a kind of introductory course to joomla with all the basics you should know and some extras: such as the recommended extensions to use etc.. , But really there is all what you need in this course so you can build your own basic website using joomla, all the rest you can search and learn on the way.... BTW cloudaccess.net manage a really helpful channel in youtube as well as in their website. Their explanations are not as basic and student friendly as it is here, but as the operators and maintainers of joomla , they also certainly do their job.

When the course finished I was able to understand the architecture of how the pieces play together. The template and module relationship was the key for me. I really like the fact that you can stop a module and replay any part that does not immediately sink in. Now to find a template that makes sense for me. The rest of the site building is organizing my content in a manor that a user will find "not frustrating". Normally after three or four clicks in a website if I cannot find what I am looking for I leave. All in all, I am pleased with this course. Next is to connect my site with a back end database for the products I produce.

The course is quite basic (as expected), but it gives you a good introduction to Joomla and how it works. Having some basic knowledge in web design, but new when it comes to CMS, I would recommend it to anyone who want to get started in Joomla. While you will not produce a finished web page through the course (no project that goes from start to finish), you will learn enough to easily make your own web page over a weekend as the title says.

If you want to have a professional website without wasting money on expensive web development teams charging by the hour, then educate yourself with this course and take control on your website and learn how to get what you want without depending on others, this course is designed for you a Joomla beginner, giving you a good and basic understanding of one of the best most powerful web platforms. Do this course before any other course on Joomla, asit will ease and quicken your learning curve in gaining full understanding. Highly recommended!

This was my first course at Udemy, and I was little hesitant about online training platforms before taking up this course. And believe me this course has changed my perception completely. The course is crisp and to the point and never becomes monotonous. Instructor looks quite experienced in imparting trainings. Everything topic is covered properly, and a lot of resources and online links has been provided to explore Joomla in-depth. Kudos to Christine, I will look forward to more courses from her.

This course was designed with the most professional approach possible. I believe the author may have pre-scripted her dialogue and synced the video beautifully with the audio. In other words, the course flows smoothly, without a single glitch. The author also presents her ideas in a very logical, easy-to-follow manner. You'll never get lost or feel overwhelmed with this course, but you'll learn the basics and more advanced components of Joomla in a breeze. Lastly, the author has a sweet, warm, friendly voice that you will instantly take a liking, too. If she taught other Joomla and Wordpress courses, I would purchase them before all others. She's masterful, professional, and friendly. You can't go wrong with her courses.

This course has been very comprehensive. All the problems I had with Joomla in the past, has been cleared. For instance, wrapping an image with text. In the past I changed the html code. Christine has shown me how to do it "without using code". Christine has a real nice voice and the quality of production was excellent. The delivery was interesting and engaging, though I know Joomla pretty well, there were many areas where I could improve thanks to Christine.

If you completely new to Joomla, and don't want to code manually at all, this might be the course for you. I liked it, although I'd love a bit more depth in certain areas. It only covers the basics, and don't go too much into the different options, and settings, and don't cover advanced topics. But if you wanna strat somewhere, it could be good for you

I was not very familiar with Joomla when I started this course. After watching the lectures I am now confident that I could put together a great looking site fairly quickly. There is always more to learn, and I will be researching further, but the information provided in the lectures covered all of the bases that you need to get started. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy-to-understand guide to getting up and running with Joomla.
