So the course is a bit outdated, needs to be updated with blender 3.X but i have to say it was a great start. i have tried creating in blender in the past many times and never really clicked. in this video he explains some very simple methods and just keeps using them over to make various different items. really got be interested and simple. i completed all vidoes but after a while of watching the same method been used over and over again it becomes abit mondaine. dont think it needed to go on for as long unless some new methods where been show.

The course is outdated and doesn't work well with newer version of Blender as the UI has changed. I had to look up stuff myself constantly to even find the basic buttons. A lot of the videos waste time on selecting vertexes rather than using time saving hotkeys. The ideas presented in the videos are very similar and lack any kind of distinction, almost disjointed as the instructor repeats the same things over and over. After the first section you pretty much learned everything this course has to offer. I'm sure the Instructor has since improved a lot, but I wouldn't recommend this course even to a complete beginner.

By Balazs Nyiro on 11/19/2017

It's easy to follow the instructor's examples but after three or four lessons, the used techniques are the same - I think it's a useful lesson but I want to see a little improvement from lesson to lesson. I offer this course but I hope later there will be more difference and detailed usage of Blender.

Simple and clear instructions, patience given. I wish the gizmo showing what keys/buttons are pressed was on all of the videos instead of just the first section. It is a shame some of the courses have not been completed, even after over a year of waiting, e.g. 8:91 leaves you hanging on exactly what do do. Also a LOT of repetition saying watch my other videos in the series - WE ARE! We bought the course, no need to say it EVERY video. (Were these all on youtube first?) However the short video format is awesome. I AM learning a lot.

Quick and easy. The instructor wastes no time and gets you into modeling. The tools are explained and your on your way. He also encourages experimentation. Practice is key and these fast items will help prep you for larger projects.

This is a good introduction to low poly modeling, but misses out on a *lot* of timesavers. Inset faces, bridge edge loops, ctrl+/- to expand/shrink selection, z then box select to select through a mesh, alt-click to select an edge loop and more. It was purchased for $10 and I think I've gotten good value for it. I would like to see a follow-up course on low-poly character modeling. This one focuses on inanimate objects.

By Alexandre Carivaldo Santos Cavalcante on 12/29/2016

The course was very good but only focused on modeling and that really helped me a lot because every video practically you model something and I finished the course with more than 50 models of each video, was really intensive and the teacher gave many important tips. As already said the course covers only modeling and for those who want to make models of games this is a very good course, which can be complemented with other courses that include texturing and animation. I took 3 days to finish the course was very worth it and I recommend for beginners in the 3d world. And I know that my English is bad because I'm Brazilian.

By Heather Meloche on 8/16/2016

Excellent clear instruction, very useful that the key strokes show on the screen, and easily accessible to someone brand new to 3D modeling. I'd given up hope of really grasping 3D, but this is giving me a great place to start from.

By Adrien Vallot on 3/27/2016

I'm french guys , who don't speak english perfectly ( you can see that with my comment ^^ ) . But the autor , explains clairly and show how to do in the same time , so you can easily understand Moi qui ne parle pas un anglais parfait , j'arrive tout de même a suivre le cours , car l'auteur en même temps qu'il explique , montre les actions a effectués ce qui rend le suivie du cours facile et au passage ça fait travailler l'anglais :)

If you are expecting to make the course logo scene (very stylized low poly models with materials, lighting, etc) it is unfortunately not a part of the course. This course is about making very basic and non-stylized models only. There is some good content in this course, but it is surrounded by a lot of repetition. I understand that the instructor wants people to build a lot of models to get experience, but I'm not sure this level of quantity over quality is productive. 169 lectures but they are mostly very brief and often retread a lot of the same topics and processes. Very few of the models created go beyond using the simplest of techniques and tools available in Blender. Some lectures even potentially introduce bad habits such as hidden faces, non-planar quads, internal geometry, etc. Like I said, there are some good parts to this course. But I'd personally recommend looking at others on Udemy first. Especially for beginners as it doesn't cover some basic tools and concepts I consider invaluable after doing other courses. If you're looking for some inspiration to make a wide range of very simple models, you might get some good value out of this course.
