I am about a 2 or 3rd year piano player. This course is above my skill level of playing... I love Mikael's music and examples. The course is explaining things that I hope to learn... It is creating a learning map for me. Thank you Mikael.

The terminology he uses is a bit frustrating and some of the ideas are disconnected. Ex: in the opening he defines 5 levels of tension and energy, but in later lectures describes tension as high, medium and low. I was left wondering things like how do the chord "emotional quadrants" equate to these levels of tension. If you define a system of measurement or quantization, please use it (and the same collection of descriptors) throughout the course.

One of the few courses that explain in more detail how to bring certain emotions into someones music.

a good course covering all aspects of creating emotion in music ...think of this course more as a thing to take into consideration rather than a formula of how to create emotion, as emotion is a personal feeling not a generic formula

I feel like every course of Mike's is so jam packed with information, that I learn so much each time. The visual demonstrations in the DAW along with all the explanations are excellent. Thanks.

It’s still a good course full of information. I’m really enjoying the instructor. Scheduling time for study is a bit challenging but I will get through this course

Great information with great examples and not getting in too deep. :) There is so much more to think about than I realized. This course is opening my eyes to the complexities we simply take for granted while listening but need to consider while composing. Well Done Mike... :)

Most music production courses are technical classes where everyone acts like a scientist. This is about feeling. Great stuff. Wish he taught dance music

This course delivered beyond my expectations! Anyone who lacks the skills to compose with emotion, needs to do this course. You'll walk away extremely satisfied. However, I wish the presenter had included some prints of the material. It's very time-consuming to constantly stop, take notes, rewind, fast forward...Nevertheless, that's just a tiny request or a suggestion for the future.

I love this course. It breaks down all the things that come into play. You can work on one piece at a time and then add in more as you get comfortable.
