Our take
Based on the ratings of 31,889 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in May 2025. No course pays to be reviewed.
Dr. Priya Nalkur's course is a quick, reflective primer on conflict at work. It runs 67 minutes across 19 lectures and five sections, with four quizzes. It starts by asking you to look at your own past conflicts and find your default style, then moves to tools for staying calm in the moment, and ends with how to repair a relationship afterward. Nalkur is a psychologist and executive coach, and the course is pitched at early and mid-career professionals. There are no prerequisites.
Reviewers like the self-awareness part best. One says the defensive styles helped them see where they get reactive, and another calls the delivery calm and confident. One reviewer praises the role plays with AI, and a second liked the interactive role play too. The complaints are about depth. One finds the explanations a bit lengthy, and a few wanted more tools, more real-world examples, or video of other people practicing. The lowest ratings are about the CPE assessment, which reportedly doesn't say which answers were wrong, so retakes feel like guessing.
The numbers are solid. About 68,000 students have taken it, and most of the 31,889 ratings are four or five stars. It was last updated in May 2025. At just over an hour, this is a starting point, not a full toolkit. It suits anyone who wants a short, thoughtful look at their own habits in conflict. If you want scripts, case studies, or a deep method, look elsewhere.
Pros
- Self-reflection on your own conflict style, with defensive reactions one reviewer said they recognized in themselves
- Calm, confident delivery from Dr. Nalkur that one reviewer found reassuring to listen to
- Interactive role plays with AI that one reviewer said helped spot strengths and weak spots
- Short at 67 minutes, with a section on repairing trust and apologizing after a fight
Cons
- Reviewers wanted more tools and real-world examples, and one found the explanations lengthy
- The CPE assessment reportedly doesn't show which answers were wrong, which frustrated the lowest raters
- Only about an hour, so it stays introductory with no video of others practicing
This is very interesting to learn about the very different defensive reactions, I see myself in a couple of the styles and understand how I can be less defensive now.
All Levels is accurate, but the audience list targets early and mid-career workplace professionals.

It's gaves complete package not only explanation, it also contains exercise, reflection. however the explanation is a bit lenghty for me, and I expect that it shows some video that shows the practice of others.
By Venkatesh Hariharan Iyer on 9/7/2026
It had great examples but less tols than what I expected. There is a good classification of topics one could upskill on when understanding conflict. I would suggest including more tools to objectively exercise how to adapt the tools in conflicts and how best to objectively map situational awareness on the conflict

The presenter is very pleasant, well dressed, speaks calmly, and gives a sense of confidence when you listen to her. I really like the presentation; it helped me a lot by guiding me on how to handle this type of situation. I will recommend it to my coworkers.

The Conflict Resolution course has been highly beneficial in the conduct of my daily responsibilities as Plant Head. It provides practical tools and perspectives that I can apply across different aspects of my role—whether in organizational alignment, managing relationships, streamlining work processes, or ensuring safety and operability within the plant. From my own experience, the learnings have helped me approach conflicts more constructively, fostering collaboration and clarity among teams. This has strengthened not only workplace harmony but also the overall efficiency and safety culture of our operations. I find this course to be a valuable resource in reinforcing leadership effectiveness and in cultivating a resilient, continuously improving organization.

An expat culture that is not totally aligned with the culture we grown up and there is need to make huge adjustment in ways of working and collaborating yield results that we both understood our culture and the limits that we need to be aware of.

I believe that this course is good for me. As a leader it is always good to introspect and identify opportunities for growth. Also, the information learnt is applicable not only to my work life but my personal life as well.
By Karina Dahlke on 5/26/2026
This was a good course overall, with solid concepts and ideas. The role plays were a good way to apply what we learned. I found there were often many action items or steps to take for each point which made it hard to remember.
By Andy Walker on 5/21/2026
Quiz too focused on details rather than concepts. Would be nice to know which final quiz questions I did not get right so i can learn from them
By Shahidah Johnson on 5/18/2026
Honestly, I had never thought of conflict in this manner before, so it has given me a new perspective. So far, I learned of some useful tips for handling conflict especially, recognizing how to manage defensiveness.
By Jonathan Younce on 4/10/2026
This course is somewhat reductive but overall a good overview. Note that the Lewis Method has serious flaws and may not be a good solution to conflict resolution. Also important is that "You're wrong" is not necessarily an interpretation-it may be an objective fact. Sometimes the conflict is the refusal to acknowledge a fact, not an interpretation of undisputed facts. 'Speaking your truth' only works when what you speak actually IS true. Truth is objective.
By Victoria Chadderton on 11/22/2020
When camera angle would change I found it distracting. The questions given for reflection were fast and I had a hard time remembering them, while watching.
By Kimberly Shaw on 11/22/2020
Leaning conflict management is always a good thing for anyone in contact with others. What I learned was some things about myself, but a LOT about the people around me and how they respond which can help me respond to them better.
