Tableau for R Users - Explore Tableau and Embed R Code (Udemy.com)

Only issue so far is that the Tableau version being used is somewhat out of date. Makes it a little bit harder to follow. However, instructions are clear and at a good pace.

Very good pace of teaching a beginner, with very clear explanations about the various features, functionalities and general concepts about Tableau.

This course covers the basics and R-Integration with Tableau. Rating 5 specially for the R- integration videos and the 2 videos on various chart types.

I came for the Tableau part so I can only speak for this part so far. It was a pleasure to take this course. I think the delivery, speed and voice were on spot to deliver this subject. I had no prior experience with Tableau, I just saw a few random videos on YT. After this course I am quite confident to use this tool in my job. My boss recommended to use Tableau for some presentations I have to perform this year. This course helped me a lot with that. The exercises and examples were fun to complete and gave me confidence. The part of this course dealing with “Embed R Code” was only section 6 (of 7), so the bulk of the course is really an intro to Tableau. Section 7 was a an almost random couple of lectures on charting (which would a professional Information Visualization person cringe), and another lecture on outliers (Does Tableau not have any tools to detect outliers?) It might have been better to assume the student has a working knowledge of Tableau and R, and then present examples of doing the same task in each.

Tableau for R Users is a fantastic course to learn Tableau. Martin provides data downloads and offers step-by-step instruction. It is easy to follow along and apply what you are learning as you go. The topics covered are comprehensive and detail-oriented where necessary. Great course!

Pace of delivery is just right. The course gets you started right from scratch and gives you an idea about what can be accomplished with the software. Integrating R is an important topic for me.

Content is very useful (for me as R intermediate but total Tableau newbee). I like the step by step guide through the software (which is not that hard after all). Of course the interesting part is how to integrate R, and there are some useful lectures on that.

Only one or two sections actually talk about integrating R into Tableau, the rest is very generic Tableau information. Integrating R at Tableau Server level is not touched upon at all. Not what I expected from this course.
