He thoroughly breaks down this extensive subject matter, leaving no doubts in the student's mind regarding the concepts presented in the course. Additionally, he includes highly beneficial high-quality photographic resources.

The course is overall good. Obviously not for beginners. What I wish could be better is the explanation of the technique of dealing with pencil in shading and lineart processes. Like how it’s better to hold pencil and hatching the lines in quite precise way. Also I was a little bit disappointed to see the result after finishing touches of drawing is pretty different from the "Conclusion". So not the exactly 100% of the process was included as it was promised.

Méticuleux, pas à pas précis et détaillé, on comprend tout, mais seule la pratique permettra de s'approcher d'une réalisation satisfaisante. Je connais l'anatomie et le corps humain de par ma pratique médicale, mais je dois dire que l'on ne termine jamais un cours de Mr Eviston, on doit y revenir sans cesse comme avec un ouvrage fondamental qui nous permet de revoir sans cesse les clefs amenant au perfectionnement de notre projet. Merci beaucoup Mr Eviston pour votre enseignement, vos cours sont un incontournable pour qui veut s'améliorer dans le dessin des modèles vivants et de projets à plus long terme.

I have gone through all of the courses in this series, and the sense of structure they brings to drawing has given me a huge amount of confidence in my own abilities. This shading course compliments the other 2 courses on figure drawing perfectly. Everyone learns differently, but I particularly enjoy Brent's approach to drawing, which focuses on technical approaches, but never strays from the overall goal, to become a better artist.

This was a really amazing course and my figure drawing has, as a result, improved unrecognisably. Brent Eviston is a highly professional, committed and brilliant teacher. The lessons were structured in such a way that each built upon the other and skills learnt in one lesson were then consolidated and expanded upon in the next. This curse is exactly what I was looking for. The instructer clearly explained the different type of shadows and tones used. Ihad alreadyexpirience with gesture drawing and this curse is not suited for absolute begginers in gesture drawing. Anyways im super happy with the value I got and will buy more curses from the same insructor

Having taken the other two Art & Science of Figure Drawing courses, I was eager to learn about shading for figure drawings, since shading already seemed like a complicated process to me. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the process of shading really was while I took this course. Brent Eviston was able to break down shading into a step-by-step process that was easy to follow and gave me the freedom to explore shading on my own figure drawings. He also provides plenty of reference photos in the Resource tab so that you never feel like you are stuck with the same viewpoints, models, and poses for practice. Overall, this course is definitely worth the time to complete, and the visual instruction and demonstration was much needed to help me build my confidence in shading figure studies I've done.

Everything that Brent does is absolutely amazing - his drawings, his lessons, the way he explains things, the way he talks, and the way he is communicating with the students. This course on shading the human figure is very helpful in understanding the way light and shadow impact on the human figure. It is carefully planned providing a staged approach as you work through the process of applying the relevant shadows and lights with the support of practical demonstrations and clear analysis and guidance. Highly recommended.

Great course. This is the 3rd course I've taken from Brent (I've been following his Art & Science of Figure Drawing curriculum) and every time I do, I feel like I'm levelling up. The photo references that are included with the course are an added bonus, worth the price of the course itself! Highly recommended. Keep 'em coming, Brent!
