The Ultimate Animal Drawing Course - beginner to advanced (Udemy.com)

The teacher is excellent at describing everything, it is making a lot more sense on how to shape animal structures, really happy I found this online course, it is going to help me out a lot with my children book illustrations I have in mind. highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to learn how to draw animals by hand.

This is my third Jason B course. I get a lot from his teaching style. The only reason I gave it 4.5 stars vs. 5 is because of some repetition from the previous courses. If I see another lesson on core shadows and spheres, I'll want to cut out my eyeballs with a spoon. More seriously, I was exposed to anatomy, sketching, animal portraits, birds, lions, bears, horses and dogs. For the first time in my life, I can sketch an animal and it actually is identifiable as that animal. This was my goal! Great course.

The course covers all the fundamentals of drawing animals, and teaches you everything you need to know to continue studying, practicing and improving. As a beginner, I really liked the course and can absolutely recommend it! Whether you want to draw realistic or cartoon, this course is a good place to start for either one.

Dieser Kurs hat mich wieder zu meiner alten Leidenschaft, dem Zeichnen gebracht! Die einzelnen Lektionen sind super strukturiert und so lernt man Stück für Stück, wie man das Zeichnen von Tieren angehen muss. Auf jeden Fall sollte man sich die Zeit nehmen und jede einzelne Übung mitmachen - auch wenn es mal nicht gleich ein ganzes Tier ist. Ich selbst war total überrascht wie gut ich mit den Anweisungen zeichnen konnte. Es macht absolut Spaß und der Bonus am Ende im Animationsstil hat mir total gefallen und Lust auf mehr gemacht! Absolute Empfehlung für alle die sich wirklich mit dem Zeichnen von Tieren beschäftigen wollen.

I really enjoyed this course. I know he didn't had enough time for the explaining the full anatomy but overall I really enjoy it. The only thing I would've liked is drawing animated animals full body because maybe there a few subtle changes that can sepereate realistic and animation style. I learned a lot and the instructor is not boring so yeah, definitely worth to check it out.

Learned so much from this class. I'm beginner level... Concepts that I've found very challenging to understand in the past in different classes were explained so well in this course. instructor has the ability to engage the student without sounding dry in all the theory aspects. Appreciate all the drawing opportunities provided. Would recommend to anybody who has a desire to learn how to draw animals.

This is a really really good course! It's easy to understand and the instructor explains things pretty good! He also provides steps and full footage of each step and how to get to the final product. This is very helpful for any beginner artist, he also explains shading, contrast, and more things in this course!

Very comprehensive. Well done. The only thing I felt was missing was what I consider a fundamental part of any drawing, the gesture. Animals move like flowing water and the gesture is critical to capturing their essence. Otherwise the course gives a very good foundation in animal drawing. Recommended.

I would give this course 4 stars but the fact that once again student requires a printer to print out animal photo, thats a big no no from me. Other than that not bad, i did enjoy this course learned couple valuable things as well as starting to understand why blue/red pencil is a must even for a sketch.

It's a good match, especially seeing this approach to bilateral symmetry. I've dealt with that concern previously in measured perspective in boat construction, where I had to work with a cube of "known" dimension in the middle of the field and work outward from there. This is a much more relaxed approach to achieving the same end. Nicely done.
