This is obviously a basic modeling course so the instructor doesnt go deep. But, for what it is, it is great. Hammering the fundamentals with each section, we learn new tools and ways of creating things. Instructor is teaching with clarity and the course giving out exactly what is advertised to do! 5 stars, very happy with the course.

this course is so important to know of how model simple things that was so complicated of first time seeing it. i believe my skill will grow up more after ending this course. and about Alex. he is a good Instructor. he likes to make your dream to be true. i have not ever regret that i joined of his courses. you will not feel boredom while learning here.

I have to say of the 3 courses I have completed that you have made this is my least favourite, The course content is fantastic and the sounds quality and explanations really help me as a beginner get to grips with the software, my only tiny issue is that I'm quite a perfectionist, and I'm using Udemy courses to start creating a portfolio and as there wasn't a lot with material or texturing I feel like the art doesn't look so great in my portfolio. I have suggest this course to a few of my friends and they are also finding it really easy to understand.

I enjoy Alex's courses. He is really talented. I took this course after I took his 3D animation course. I wasn't ready for that course because I didn't really understand editing and rigging. I've taken a few more courses in addition to this one and now I'll go back to the Animation course and finish. Great course I learned so much about modeling and using Blender.

Editing now that I have finished the whole course (and done other two in the meantime). As with original review I think some parts could have been developed better for example the pillar part is totally random in the way it is presented and really hard to follow through in a Udemy course, that would have been more appropriate on YouTube as bonus in my opinion as one take very little away. Most of the course is very interesting even though towards the end it loses a bit of that core information on why you do something, all in all it is a very good course and shows plenty of tricks and techniques to model and use some basic modifiers. The ship project was fun to make, although again way too many redoing things which should have probably had lead to a re-recording, nothing major! Alex is a great tutor compared with the other courses I took so far he is fairly straight to the point without too much redundancy of information which really kills any Udemy course, a recap is useful to cement a concept however some courses are really messy, this one you could go anytime and pick any particular part and redo the lesson without going cucu in searching for any specific video with dubious names as some other courses on Blender on here. Please just remember we watch the courses several videos at the time and hearing the same intro and outro to a video is really really really annoying :) Thank you!

This is the kind of course I've been searching for, instead of a long introduction about a lot of things on Blender's UI you don't know about as a beginner this one just teach you by doing exercises and you learn about the UI by doing which is in my opinion the best way to learn things and keep them recorded in your memory. The course is fun and goes directly to the subject of learning different ways to model in Blender but also pays attention on how to be effective and find the best option to model what you have in mind. I'm glad I found this course

This is a solid coarse for learning the basics. It might be a little fast for true beginners, but it's doable. Where this coarse really shines is teaching modifiers. If you aren't familiar with Boolion, lattice, array, and the other modifiers, you will get some experience with them here. I used this as a refresher after a year off Blender and to transition to 2.8. It worked great and I learned quite a bit of new and useful tools & workflows. There is a lovely community on the website as well. Alex is always available to answer questions and offer feedback.

Excellent course. I've been trying to learn Blender for longer than I care to remember but always gave up through sheer frustration. I just couldn't seem to grasp the basics and then I found this course. So I started off again as a complete beginner not expecting much but it immediately became apparent that at long last I had found a course and an instructor that I could understand. I was extremely proud of the models I was able to create. I'm no longer a beginner! Just purchased another course by Alex and can't wait to start.

I like how quickly he goes through the process. He tells you exactly what keys to press every time. The explanations are good but not too long. This is one of several Blender courses I am taking and this one is probably my favorite as the pace is more to my liking and allows more practice. EDIT: I just finished the course. It was very good and offered a LOT of practice. I continued to love his flow on his modeling. There were a few times I though of easier ways of accomplishing the tasks, but can't fault his instruction. I did really like how he made mistakes but fixed them while showing you the debugging process he was doing. Now on to the bad: The clock is the last thing that taught me anything. His process for the clock was cool but I can't help feel there has to be a better way to do it. Still, I was shown one way, and it was very effective, although a bit long. After the clock though it was all just practice. Practice is good, but I expected to be shown a lot more techniques and commands. I was also really puzzled that he kept manually fixing his normals instead of showing the "recalculate normals outside" command. Still, I do recommend this course for those new to modeling with Blender. It taught me a lot and gave me a lot of practice in a short period of time.

I learned a ton from this instructor’s Ultimate Blender course (2.79 version) but wanted to get to grips with 2.8 and thought this might be a good place to start. I’ve not been disappointed. You get a very solid run down of a whole bunch of modelling techniques including an extensive look at the modifier options, all aimed at completing 20 engaging ‘mini projects’. Highly instructive and very nicely put together. And of course, like all of Alex’s courses, it comes complete with a very healthy dose of infectious enthusiasm. Once I’ve made all 20 of these objects, I’ll be checking out Alex’s new 2.8 course. Recommended.
