I took a short break from Blender and I took this course as a refresher and I really enjoyed it. I liked how Alex also included some rigging and animation in this course as well. This course also made me realize how my models and renders don't really have to be super realistic for other people to understand what they are looking at. I look forward to taking more courses from Alex!

The texture resources that come with the course is a generous and brilliant value add. Edit (After finishing the course): The pace is quite fast and is very much cut to the chase, which wasn't a bad thing because I could pause and rewind whenever I needed to. I feel like the course was well balanced, with plenty of opportunities over multiple sections to practise the basics through repetition. Alex incrementally added new things to the mix and also at times showcased a different way to do the same things. Besides the impeccable technical skills (he hardly fumbles despite his speed), I would also like to point out his creativity. He seemed to have a ton of tricks up his sleeve to make potentially tedious tasks a lot simpler. Following through the course, I believe just about anyone would be able to re-create 8 decent looking low poly scenes. Quoting the master himself, "How awesome is that?!"

I enjoyed the course, as a basic course it's really good. Do be warned that the course follows Blender 2.8, at the time of this review Blender 4.0 is the most recent one. The course can still be followed and the instructor also addresses one change to the sculpting, and aside from a few changes between the two versions the course is not difficult to follow.

Yes. So far so good. The teacher is really good and explain everything in a way that turns everything so simple. I am enjoying so much! The only aspect I would point out, would be the language that he uses. I understand the use of non formal language, but still he got to be careful with that, like the over usage of "cool" and or trying to say some words in french or spanish. Other than that, I am happy with the course

I have been learning Blender since January of this year, I have bought 100's of courses on Udemy, This course and the others Alex offers are the best beginner courses in blender you can do, You will finish with a load of low poly artwork to add to your portfolio and a greater understanding of blender as a whole, I would recommend to any beginner before doing any other course buy all of the ones Alex offers and you'll be set to go to the next stage. This course largely helped me in kickstarting my modelling skills and getting familiar with the controls. For that am entirely grateful

The Course is ok. I am not giving 5 stars because in every single video first the author making something back and forth and hardly ever he mention what is he really going to do. So you have to watch video twice, first time to have general idea what you will make and second to acctualy learn.

I really enjoy how the instructor teaches by example. At first, everything felt really overwhelming, but I took my time and within the first hour I was picking it up and I feel a lot more confident now. I can't wait to keep following the rest of the tutorials to increase my competency.

Good starting course for those who really want to learn 3d art.

Pretty good course for newbies. After finishing - you definitely will familiarize Blender interface, basic tools, and workflows.
Without any diving into details and explanations how it works, even for some technics used in this course (this is a drawback for me. i.e. routings for shaders).
So if you want to understand what exactly you are doing - you need to continue with extended courses.
Nevertheless this a good course for beginners.
