Alex Dan — Cloud Architect, Developer & Instructor
With over a decade of hands-on software engineering experience, I've built my career at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, web development, and practical education.
My technical journey started in embedded automotive systems — developing Java-based navigation solutions for major car brands. From there, I moved into cloud engineering, building AWS-powered data pipelines for connected vehicles using Node.js, TypeScript, Lambda, DynamoDB, and a full suite of AWS services. I later worked as a Node.js developer at one of Eastern Europe's largest e-commerce platforms, before transitioning into independent cloud architecture consulting.
Today, as a freelance Cloud Architect, I design and implement scalable cloud solutions across industries — from automotive to enterprise — with a focus on infrastructure reliability, CI/CD automation, and modern serverless architectures.
Parallel to my engineering career, I've been teaching on Udemy since 2017, growing a community of over 300,000 students across 19 courses. My current focus is AI-assisted development — helping developers work smarter with tools like GitHub Copilot, VS Code AI extensions, and agentic coding workflows.

If I watched this course in 2023 I would have given a 4.5/5 stars but since lectures are not up to date, many lectures are not relevant anymore since many options are deprecated right now and the vite create template has a new version and other functionalities. This course is a good start but needs to be updated

Excellent course, aimed at developers who are already familiar with programming in JavaScript. Ideally, you'd have some React knowledge, but the fact that I didn't have any React knowledge did not affect my learning in any way.

A very interesting course, with very clear explanations and great pedagogy. I didn't give the maximum rating because the practical examples are only focused on very specific cases (creating a library, creating a Vite Plugin) and not on what is probably the most common use of Vite: creating a web application. If you can create an additional section to this course on building a sample web application (with navigation between pages, authentication, database connection, file/image upload, …) it will be a 5/5 rating. Many thanks for this very good course.

Great course but at certain points too rushed - it's better to write all the code in real time and make the lecture a little bit longer than to add it in big chunks forgetting to explain some of it and forcing people to go through the code changes on Git and to look for the missing pieces.

Even if I used Vite for some time, I still received some great hits!
