Course Description
After creating more than a dozen courses on Microsoft Access databases and programming in VBA, many students have contacted me with discussions on specific problems and scenarios. From these discussions, I have created videos reviewing the details of the most useful techniques that everyone will eventually need. I have made sure that every detail of these techniques is recorded in the videos! BUT you should be somewhat familiar with VBA since there are lots of coding examples in the course.
There are MANY tips and tricks in this course that you will not find an ANY of my other courses!
I also include a specific design challenge from a student and then go over the details of how I would handle it.
If you are willing to take the time to go through this course you could easily be much more productive with Microsoft Access in just a few hours!
This course is "hands on" and has exercise files for every section. This is not a course you just watch - you learn new techniques by watching each lecture step, then doing them yourself!
There is a HUGE need in the marketplace for people who REALLY know how to create Microsoft Access databases and use VBA. This is your opportunity to break away from the pack of people who struggle to create effective systems. Stop being like everyone else and and learn how to use Access MUCH more effectively than just about anyone else!

Bruce Myron
Hello, my name is Bruce Myron. I am a self employed Access programmer and general computer consultant to small and medium sized businesses. I got into programming because I was tired of all the jargon most programmers use and how they don't seem to care about business.
"Technology is great but I've always been more interested in how it can be used to make companies more profitable." - Bruce
I live in Portland, Oregon and have many long term relationships with local businesses. Many of the systems I have built for these companies are critical to the success of the business. My specialty is taking the needs of the business and translating them into a system that facilitates, rather than obstructs, what they are trying to do.
I have also spent time as a full time trainer providing group classes on the Microsoft Office programs.
In my opinion the computer industry as a whole is a colossal failure in helping businesses solve their problems. I listen carefully to the needs expressed by my clients and then deliver the simplest, most flexible solution possible.
Over the years I have found that many of the techniques I have used enabled me to survive and thrive when many others have tried the computer programming business and failed.
My goal is to show my students how to create systems that business will value and that will create long term income.

Very valuable to anyone wanting to take their Access DBs to the next level! I've gone through four of Bruce's courses and will continue taking all the Access courses he offers! with each course I take, I not only learn more coding but also become better at troubleshooting!

I have learned a ton from all the courses I've taken on VBA and access. It has been invaluable information and even though you have to continue to keep working and going over it so that you can grasp all the concepts. Bruce does a great job teaching you ways to find the answers to any of you questions.

Good course overall. From my perspective I really liked the example of building a generic three button form. I followed Bruce's instruction and built a generic eight button form for one of my own Access databases. The Cleaning Phone Number Data challenge was interesting to follow. It is something to have in mind for the future. I have completed a number of Bruce's courses. I look forward to workshop no. 4

I am taking several of Bruce's courses and finding them extremely informative. He has an approach that takes you along with him and makes returning and doing the exercises again on my own simple. Using the bookmark on the videos helps return to an area that helps reinforce the information. I have also seen that in some of the videos that there are minor glitches too. But when my version doesn't work like his then I have to go back and look at his and see what isn't the same. Some of them are simple settings that haven't been turned on or off. Makes me think and that helps to learn what is going on an not just following along.

Bruce does it again! This course is full of exceptionally useful functions, methods and tips for improving the user experience in Access applications. He also explains how to clean up data which I can use immediately for improving my productivity. Most highly recommended.

This workshop is invaluable. The teacher gives you real world examples and walks you through how to accomplish each. It has advanced my career two fold. The teacher explains what he's doing step by step. And most importantly he makes it a priority to answer your questions and help explain his explanation thoroughly. I would recommend ALL his courses to anyone who wants to learn VBA using practical example you can implement immediately.

Bruce shares what to do as well as what not to do while working with Access. His delivery of the subject matter is exceptionally smooth and concise. I grab every course Bruce puts out, simply because of his teaching style. I can't help but learn more with every lecture.
By Tammy Bergen on 3/6/2017
Not only does Bruce respond to questions in the forum, he also responds by creating courses around challenges his students face in the real world. Most courses are pretty cut and dry, covering the same information and using the same examples; Bruce disperses innovative nuggets throughout his courses that are simply not found elsewhere. He always responds thoroughly to questions, is always courteous, kind and encouraging. Very few instructors are as willing to work with a student as Bruce is.

I am an avid fan of Bruce's courses, I think that I have signed up for almost all of them and just when I think that he has exhausted all of the techniques he comes up with new one. To be honest I had not heard of the command "Sendkeys" before and what Bruce has taught me in just the first three lectures has astounded me. He even shows some debugging techniques, which I found very useful. His style of delivery is captivating and I am clearly motivated to move on and learn more in the lectures that follow. I have no hesitation in recommending this course to anyone that is remotely interested in VBA in Access.
