Course Description
After creating more than a dozen courses on Microsoft Access databases and programming in VBA, many students have contacted me with discussions on specific problems and scenarios. From these discussions, I have created videos reviewing the details of the most useful techniques that everyone will eventually need. I have made sure that every detail of these techniques is recorded in the videos! BUT you should be somewhat familiar with VBA since there are lots of coding examples in the course.
There are MANY tips and tricks in this workshop that you will not find an ANY of my other courses!
I also include a specific database design challenge from a student and then go over the details of how I would handle it.
If you are willing to take the time to go through this course you could easily be much more productive with Microsoft Access in just a few hours!
This course is "hands on" and has exercise files for every section. This is not a course you just watch - you learn new techniques by watching each lecture step, then doing them yourself!
There is a HUGE need in the marketplace for people who REALLY know how to create Microsoft Access databases and use VBA. This is your opportunity to break away from the pack of people who struggle to create effective systems. Stop being like everyone else and and learn how to use Access MUCH more effectively than just about anyone else!

Bruce Myron
Hello, my name is Bruce Myron. I am a self employed Access programmer and general computer consultant to small and medium sized businesses. I got into programming because I was tired of all the jargon most programmers use and how they don't seem to care about business.
"Technology is great but I've always been more interested in how it can be used to make companies more profitable." - Bruce
I live in Portland, Oregon and have many long term relationships with local businesses. Many of the systems I have built for these companies are critical to the success of the business. My specialty is taking the needs of the business and translating them into a system that facilitates, rather than obstructs, what they are trying to do.
I have also spent time as a full time trainer providing group classes on the Microsoft Office programs.
In my opinion the computer industry as a whole is a colossal failure in helping businesses solve their problems. I listen carefully to the needs expressed by my clients and then deliver the simplest, most flexible solution possible.
Over the years I have found that many of the techniques I have used enabled me to survive and thrive when many others have tried the computer programming business and failed.
My goal is to show my students how to create systems that business will value and that will create long term income.

How was the button made ? when attempting to to my code and database it doesn't work

Every one of Bruce's courses has so much useful information that is explained in easy to understand ways. I have taken all of the workshops and keep learning things I want to add to my project!

I have pretty much taken every course offered by Bruce. Much of it was confusing, but as I take this workshop everything is beginning to come together. Kind of like a 1000 piece puzzle being assembled upside down so you can't see the picture. Then, piece by piece the puzzle comes together and as the final piece is put in place you know you've accomplished something the average person would never try. I'm at section 2 #5 of this course and I'm understanding the logic of things that never made sense before. However, in the design challenge much of the video was fuzzy and unreadable. I am confident that I will be able to apply what I learned here, but if Bruce gets time he might want to remake this video. Thank You Bruce!

Have been using relational database applications for close to forty years. With each course that Bruce taught, I have learned (or re-learned) methods and techniques that I have never used before. Always learning. Great instructor.

There are many useful tips and insight that I was ready to use in my own applications right away. The pace and level of instruction are perfect including the sample databases which give a "hands on" experience.

These workshops are fantastic. They cover specific topics in depth, but in bite-size chunks so you can learn quickly and put what you learn into action right away. They are also great for reference later as you need help or refreshing on a concept.

Very useful examples and enhanced applications skills that some might have taken me years to figure out on my own. I am very grateful to know the answers to questions I didn't even know to ask, and can go back and review again.

This is an excellent curse which gave me many excellent pointers about how I could improve my databases. I found Section 6 particularly useful and will use it for my own work. Thanks for this course - one of the manyI have enjoyes87

Excellent workshop, not to long with some very valuable tips. Each section of the course provides the user with a work forms etc and a completed example. Within a few minutes of completing the course, I applied at least two of the tips to my main database with plans to apply more in the future.

Never ceases to amaze me how Bruce can explain and demonstrate the techniques used. Bruce makes learning access usable the moment he explains the technique.
