Course Description

Adobe InCopy is a professional word processor that integrates with Adobe InDesign. InCopy enables editors to write, edit, and design documents. In this course, students will learn about workflows, setting preferences, creating new documents, as well as working with workspaces, views, and tools. In addition, students will learn to use styles, how to import text from Word and Excel, how to add tables, how to copy fit text, and how to use Spellcheck and Find and Change. Finally, students will learn about collaborating with InCopy, using notes and track changes, how to use assessments, and how to print and exporting to other formats.

Excellent introduction to the mechanics of InCopy.
InCopy isn't a terribly complicated application but it does require a different mindset from InDesign. I found that this course was excellent in the way that it identified those differences, making the transition to InCopy much quicker and easier.
For me, the time saved made this course extremely worthwhile and good value.

Than you for this course, it contains just the right amount of information to feel more at easy when managing InDesign-InCopy workflow, especially when it is just being implemented into you days to day.
I wished there was more about the collaboration aspect of the programs, and how it can be set up to match different modalities of teams. For example a designer that outsources all his/her writers and editors (freelancers) and thus do not share a network location in which to have access to .icml and .indd files.
Otherwise I am very happy with this course, it's complete, concise, and succinct.

A brilliant and straightforward way to getting up to speed with InCopy. I was comfortable using after an hour into this course and haven't looked back. A must for publishing and design teams working on larger projects.

I like how this is presented. I needed the tools, views, and text to start. I skipped to that part. I would like to know more about setting up the paragraph and character styles for a document in InCopy itself.
