So you have learned how to use Google Tag Manager. Now you are ready to learn some advanced use cases beyond basic Google Analytics, AdWords or Facebook pixel tracking. In this course I will cover the following advanced topics.
  1. Understanding & using Data Layers
  2. Understanding and using Custom HTML tags in Google Tag Manager
  3. Using data layers to push dynamic values and trigger Google Tag Manager
  4. Track Vimeo Video interactions.
  5. Use Custom JavaScript variables in GTM to detect Ad Blockers
  6. Trigger message to users using Ad Blockers - really useful for ad supported sites.
  7. Pass values to Google Analytics Custom Dimensions using Google Tag Manager
  8. Track Ad Blockers in Google Analytics
  9. Track Universal Analytics User ID using true user id from your back end e.g CRM, database etc. and learn how to create special User-Id view in Google Analytics
  10. Integrate CRM database with Google Analytics for segmentation and Adwords Remarketing list.
  11. Write and read first party cookie using Google Tag Manager
  12. Getting Query Parameters from URL to use them in Tags or Triggers

Anil is a seasoned Digital Marketing and Analytics professional with 15 years of experience. He has worked with companies ranging from Fortune 50 to startups and has helped them improve marketing results. His customers include Microsoft, SmartMoney, ESPN, T-Mobile, Hoovers, RealNetworks, Starbucks, and TheStreet. He holds a B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from India and an MBA from University of Washington, Seattle.
Anil has taught and trained several Marketing and Analytics folks in past nine years of teaching at UBC, University of Washington and Bellevue College, and speaking engagements at various conferences as well as his blog. He teaches Digital Marketing, Digital Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau and Social Media courses. He also served on the Board of Digital Analytics Association (DAA) and was instrumental in starting the DAA Symposiums.

OK this is a good effort but not enough! The instructor indeed shows us some advanced concepts to use via GTM and they are indeed useful. On the other hand, I have two comments to make: the first is that I would have liked the instructor to tell us the value of each of the different setups he is showing (for example tell us practical examples of the value of writing cookies via GTM) and the second one is that I am missing most of the useful ecommerce implementations via GTM. Examples include but not limited to: Enhanced Ecommerce setup, passing CRM product data and many more.

The instructor is really knowledgeable and detailed-oriented which helped me learned and absorbed his teaching.

The course provides a detailed insight into the topic in a well-structured and clear manner.

Thank you very much, this course has helped me gain a deeper understanding of what is possible with Tag Manager. I'll definitely be referring back to some of the lectures when I'm solving specific Tag Manager-related issues for clients.

It covered mainly everything but the good part is you can ask Anil for advice regarding the issue you are having at the moment which is amazing.It's like you are having a mentor of your own.

This is a very cool course showing how to use Google Tag Manager to enhance Google Analytics reporting as well as enhance and manipulate the functionality of your website without developer intervention. The presenter speaks very clearly, and very consistently and thoroughly demonstrates each of the skills that he is covering.

Very nice. I will be even happier if it shows how to take the dynamic events from an ecommerce showing the process of creating and installing the datalayer directly from website code
