Hi, I'm James. I have helped thousands of people learn how to develop their own games in Unity, and whether you're a first-time developer, or need to refresh your skills, I can help you learn to make the games you want to make.
With a bachelors degree in Computer Science and a background working in independent game development, I have been helping others to create their own games and release them on multiple platforms.
I believe in helping you learn by teaching code in context, so rather than having to memorize a bunch of stuff you've never seen before, you learn how each coding concept can be applied to real working problems in your games.
I can't wait to help you learn all about making your own games and how to make them a success.
So why not start learning to make games with me now?
See you soon!
James

Este curso me enganchó desde el principio, muy entretenido y sobre todo el resultado es un juego divertido que te enseña las bases de este tipo de juegos. En general es un excelente curso. Me gustó mucho.

I also got your sprite-making course, and as I'm laying out this tilemap, I realize you had made some of these assets! I'm excited to see how I can incorporate some of that courses' products into this course

2024 Aug, Before Buying: Read Q&A when you have an issue. Don't buy if you have 0 experience with Unity. Good overall if you have a little bit of prior knowledge.

Such a great course - every single line of code was well explained and I understood pretty much the whole way through. I've had some bugs on the way (all my fault really) but leaving 0.5 stars off because I've got a bug which I can't seem to fathom and wasn't fixed by the solution given in one of the tutorials The discord community is great though :) I'd recommend for absolute beginners in unity. It will help you SOOOO much and give you all the mechanics you possibly need for 2D games. All the little details which otherwise would take you 30 mins to learn about on stack overflow!!! I have learnt sososososo much - thank you James.

It would have been nice to have classic character select screens, as well as a more refined UI, there was no way to change game settings in game. Poor to no explanation of navigation on the button component. What was good was the simple use of the new Input system, and the animation section was concise enough, though I would prefer a more full run over of the interactions. Good for beginners not great if you have more experience, though you may learn something along the way

Even though i’m only at the beginning of the course the instructor explains the content clearly and makes it understandable even for total beginners such as myself

Very solid tutorial, instructor, and end project! The only thing I felt it lacked was the occasional question/challenge to check for our understanding. Would definitely recommend if you're new (or newish) to Unity

Awesome job teaching. Your style of running into unexpected results and then fixing them really helps teach the extremely important skill of problem solving in development. An entire course could be taught on just solving code issues or Unity Problems! So many new game developers get stuck and spend hours or days searching the internet for solutions when they just need to know best practices on how to find and solve problems.
