The course is very practical; it doesn't just talk about how to design and get inspired to make a logo, but it also introduces contracts and interviews with the clients. It is very practical real like scenarios. I learned a lot of illustrator skill and technics. Actually I am impressed by the final design logo for the company.

Lots to learn here, Chad is experienced and breaks down beginner to intermediate level Illustrator elements. You'll leave this course with a strong knowledge of the tools and nuances Illustrator has to offer. Also, his advice with logo design in the business world is very realistic and helpful. Definitely try this course if you are looking to hone your creative skills and want fundamental learning of the Illustrator platform.

There was a LOT of information in this course. A lot of it seemed irrelevant to logo design (many of the Illustrator tools). When explaining each Illustrator tool, you should make each lesson RELEVANT to creating a GOOD logo, not some repetitive random mish-mash "surf" company. Or maybe just focus on the basic tools needed for logo design (Transformations, Pathfinder, Layers, etc.) Also, from a design/art/craft perspective, your work seems amateur-ish and rushed (mine isn't amazing either, YET). For example, I noticed a couple of alignment issues with the FUSON logo that made it look rushed. Also, you didn't go that deep with case studies of successful logos. On top of that, you didn't go into fonts AT ALL (which are an incredibly important part of logo design). Which fonts should I use and why? What are the popular fonts to use in various kinds of logos? How do you create a *high-end* logo design? I enjoyed the lessons about client communication, contracts, etc.

I have many design courses taught on Udemy and jumped around from instructor to instructor, trying to get the most out of Photoshop and Illustrator tools. With that said, I highly recommend "newbies" to take introduction courses taught by Dr. Chad Neuman FIRST -- since he is extremely concise, thorough, repetitive (in a good way) and easy to understand! :)

Great course! I feel like learning the process of logo design was great but as far as actual quality logos, it fell short. I didn't see any examples of quality logos or learn how to design a "good" logo versus a "bad one," since all the examples were very basic. Good course for absolute beginners.

I'm loving the overall experience. just started getting into the hands on part and am already feeling myself get a better grasp on illustrator. I would just prefer if the shortcuts were mentioned more. Since I plan on using this program plenty I would be great to learn them from the instructor as the controls are applied.

I would highly recommend taking this course! I'm studying UI/UX design and decided to take it to help me acquire logo and iconography skills. I've been using Photoshop for the past couple of years, but needed a good beginner introduction to Illustrator that would also teach related topics like clients, finding work, etc. This course definitely gave me the solid base that I need to continue learning Illustrator in even more difficult courses. Knowledgeable instructor that teaches in such a way total beginners can learn it, but also shows you more difficult techniques that keep it exciting but not overwhelming. I also appreciate the fact that I've learned far more than just how to make a logo in Illustrator. Contracts, pricing, conceptualizing and everything that is essential for designers to know is covered in detail so you get a complete course that covers the entire process from beginning to end.

So far it has been a very sincere and learning experience . I have not used Illustrator very much but so far I really want to learn how to do the logo part and how to draw using adobe illustrator. This course really is great. Now I can make logo;s without any problems that I was having before. Thank you for sharing this course .

Thanks for an excellent course. I have used a few for Illustrator and this one was the easiest to follow along with and taught the most. Great instruction. Very clear. And I liked the way you don't just mention key strokes once and then expect students to understand what you are doing 60 lectures later. Inspirational too. Loved it.

I am so blessed to have come across Dr. Chad Neuman's lesson plans, I still don't know how it happened but I am very pleased with how comprehensive and informative each lesson plan is. I enjoy each of his activities that allow us to use the tools taught in the lesson. He has certainly expanded my knowledge in illustrator.
