For the last 20 years of my career, I've worked with large companies to apply leading edge technology to deliver results and to help them achieve their desired business goals and outcomes.

I've been involved with every major wave of technology since the early 90's working with companies to connect to the internet for the first time, designing early web-enabled ecommerce platforms through to cloud computing and hybrid IT over the last ten years especially.

During that time, I've worked with the technology of every major platform and vendor in the public and private cloud space such as: VMWare, Google, Microsoft and Amazon.

In my spare time over the past decade, I setup and run a few of online marketing services businesses with my wife.  This area has expanded my mind and skillset into things like SEO, Copywriting and Content Marketing.  In particular, I've been able to combine these online marketing skills with my technology and management experience to help people setup and operate their own online businesses successfully.

I'm originally from Toronto, Canada but have been living in Sydney, Australia for the past 21 years with my wife and son.

Must say the lecture is a lot out of date!!

While Sean knows his stuff, it is not presented in an engaging and practical way that can be immediately implemented. You first have to listen to lots of talk that unfortunately just makes me want to go to sleep. The first bit of really useful, useable information was presented in lecture 14. While I suffered through the course I did not think it was worth the effort or the investment.

There's some great information in this course! Sean does a great job explaining security issues and threats and how to address them. He also discusses several of the most popular WordPress security plugins and explains how to configure them. I recommend this course.

From the first few lectures, it appears that this is exactly what I need. We launched a site in November and we were immediately spammed. The site was down for about a week, I was able to get the site back up and running but not at 100%. Before I add back the meeting rooms, comments, discussion boards, etc., I need to bring in the knowledge and tools that will provide the site with the best possible security and offer me a major level of comfort. This course looks like it will do the job.

This course has everything that you need to know about securing your WordPress site. Sean is easy to understand and concise in his explanations. He really lays it all out for you and shows you exactly what to do while still being generic enough that you can apply the knowledge to your own tools. Overall this course is a great and simple way to learn to massively improve your security.

Sean's courses are great in that the subject in question is dealt with in detail, and is broken down into bite sized bits that are more easily understood. Also, this makes it straight forward if you want to refresh any particular part of the course. If I would create a course for WordPress security it would have been just like this one. It includes everything that every conscious WordPress user should know before calling security professionals to rescue what can be rescued (if at all) after website security breach. And since WordPress sites will be more and more popular the need for secure them will be even more important. Enroll in this course and stay on the safe side.

This was a little more info than I understood, really. But I'm going to watch the videos again about what to do when you first set the wordpress site up. What I liked most about this course is that the instructor answers questions and makes sure the students understand.

Another WP home run for Sean Kaye! This is essential security information for WordPress site owners. Even though this course is for beginner, non-technical, and users looking for simple solutions, an intermediate user like me was still able to get updated with some current information and suggestions. I am definitely going to heed some of his advice on the issues that I wasn't aware of. Ignoring WP security can be a huge time or money headache, and this course is a preventive aspirin for that. I can't recommend it enough. And I can barely wait for another course from Sean :)
