While the course and its material are decent, it needs to be updated and questions in the Q&A section should be answered.

Not a bad course overall, but some segments weren't explained properly (how to divide the screen between the Scene and Game screen). Some of the elements are outdated, but a good choice for beginners.

I was hoping for more emphasis on the adventure game part - ie, building different scenarios, carrying variables in and out of those, etc. However, I am enjoying the walk through. I especially enjoyed the contrast between using the animation and the script to move the platform. I expect I will see the course out. It is reasonably priced and it is well explained and I will learn something..... just not what I was really after but that is mainly my fault.

Course is depreciated so you will have to update code.
A lot of code is pasted after doing off screen.
But, he does give an overview explanation.
But, if your looking for experience in coding and working with it. He does go through the mechanics of building it. Which is useful.

I found the course very helpful for expanding my knowledge of unity features and its integration into project development. The instructor covered many aspects of Unity that I wasn't aware of and that will, undoubtedly, be extremely useful in game design.
Although the lectures are short, they are focused, well presented, and primarily concise.
Comparing this to another course I have taken from Udemy on C# programming in Unity, this course utilizes more of the built in features of unity with less emphasis on scripting. The volume of content is significantly lower than that programming course but, nonetheless, quite valuable. It relies on pre-prepared assets and shows you how to use those assets to best advantage.
Scripts are provided throughout the course and explanations for how those scripts function are integrated. I found myself seeking further information regarding some coding functions and the modifications needed to bring the code up to the latest unity version, but this, in itself added to the knowledge gained.
I would recommend this to anyone beginning their study of Unity C# provided they have some rudimentary beginner knowledge of the software and coding language.

Great course

By David Trawick on 1/7/2019

This was a good basic course. I wish he would have made each lecture a little longer and went into more detail about what each part of the code did. Also, I wish he showed everything he did. Some of the things he did off screen, which leaves the student guessing as to what took place. Overall, it's not bad. The instructor is a good speaker and explains the code in a way that the student can easily understand.

By Dario Gualtieri on 10/6/2018

The first part, the settings, is a little boring, but really useful.
The second part starts in a really good way.
The way the teacher explains is really clear, and the english understandable.
The videos are not too short and not to long.
The google subs are horrible, as always, but sometimes useful.

Clases cortas y concisas

By Nelson Marques on 4/27/2018

Great course. I did learn a lot. The only thing I would improve upon is not copy and pasting the C# code and actually typing it line by line. This will allow the student absorb the logic behind it slowly.

By Kyle Harris on 4/20/2018

The course is nice overall. It really teaches the basics of 2D development in Unity. Please note that if scripting is your focus this may not be for you as the instructor writes all of the C# off screen and pastes it into the project. He does review it which is nice, but it is not a step by step guide.
The reason for the 3 stars is there is an abundance of off screen tasks that the instructor completes off screen, not just with the scripting. This is very apparent, and frustrating, in the final section of the course. Trying to run through everything and figure out what he did is extremely frustrating and really hurts the learning environment.
