Hello everyone and welcome to the Mantaflow Fluid Simulation Guide in Blender. In this course you will learn everything there is to know about the fluid simulation. In first section I will be showing you the very basics of the fluid simulation and how it works. After that we will be going through the domain and how every single setting and value effects the simulation. With the introduction of Mantaflow it completely changed how the fluid simulation operates.
That is why In first section I will be showing you the basics and how it works. After that we will be going through the domain and learning how every single setting and value effects the simulation. Section 3 will be about all the different types of objects that can add to your simulation. Such as flow objects obstacles guides and much more. We will also be covering realistic water material and how to create that in Blender. The ocean modifier is also something that we will be taking a look at. One of the best ways to learn something is to follow along and create something yourself. That is why there are 3 full tutorials in this course. The first one is an obstacle course for fluid particles to go through. In this section we will learn about basic modeling, simulating particles with Mantaflow and rendering using real time render engine Eevee. The 2nd tutorial we will learn about the rigid body simulation and how you can use it to interact with the fluid simulation. The end result will be a cube falling with fluid inside it. And finally the last tutorial we will learn about animating collision objects crashing through fluid. No resource files what so ever, resource files are very important, every other blender tutorial course (except this tutors other course, "Mantaflow Fire & Smoke Simulation Guide in Blender"). Why are resource files so important? Blender up dates regularly, many options change or assigned new names, this means obtaining the same results in the tutorial can become very difficult, to the point of many hours being wasted just baking trying to tweak new options to get same results. Having a recourse file would would eliminate all that wasted time.
5 stars if resource files were present.

I like this course a lot. Some things don't work correctly as Blender is constantly updating. This isn't the instructor's fault it just requires a lot of time on Google.

for me It is really annoying that I will not complete the 100 percent of the course - only 65 percent or so, because there is two extra sections about the same subject, only for people using older vesions of blender.

Good course. Really useful info on Mantaflow which is new so the course is well timed. The speed is indeed fast. I usually listen to my Udemy courses at 1.25x but here 1x was fine. Not a problem, that's what those speed settings are for. Th ocean section is perhaps less useful. I would have preferred to see a final section with more Mantaflow fluid sims in a 'real world' setting. Things we might use in a Blender scene like rivers, waterfalls, garden hoses, etc... But overall I really enjoyed the course and it's a great way to get going with Mantaflow.
