At the age of 17 I began a 6th month internship with an animation studio out of Utah. After my internship was up, I was hired on to build backgrounds and to design props and characters for animation projects. I then began to do my own freelance work on the side through networking and using online freelancing sites. Now I work as a freelance Illustrator and designer working on my own time from where ever I want.

I had high hopes for this course because of the reviews and the introduction. But now almost halfway through, i'm thoroughly disappointed. Here's why :
- As a student, I want to know WHY something is done and not just how. For example if an instructor says Draw this line here or shade this part here, it doesn't help me one bit because i'm not going to be drawing this particular character/piece in my own projects.
- There's not much instructing. It's more of 'follow what I do'. Sure you end up with a decent result because you're following whatever the instructor is doing and put in your own small changes and feel a sense of accomplishment. But when it comes to moving on to your own work, there's really no content here with how to start.
If you're someone who knows the hows and whys of drawing, then I don't see how this course will be helpful even to you. It's more of a 'heres how to create these 2 characters and learn how to animate them'.
I've requested for a refund as this was super misleading and i'm surprised this course has high ratings.
The instructor himself is really talented. His personal artwork is on a next level. But that doesn't mean he's a good instructor.
I really hope other art courses here are actually TAUGHT and not just another 'imitate me' class.

The course was amazing! I learned so many new things about digital drawing. Course was organized and easy to follow. The course is mostly how to illustrate a character in Photoshop and create a sprite sheet. Being totally clueless about gaming animation, I couldn't really see the purpose or function of the animation in Unity, but I followed the steps and created it anyways. Nonetheless the instructor is amazing and very talented. Great start for me!
