Good, very clear. Could be edited so we didn't have to watch the instructor formatting his code, turning his mail off etc. When you watch lots of online tutorials, you really appreciate people editing their videos so they're slick and only contain what is necessary

By David Carr on 8/16/2018

This was a decent intro, but everything covered here can be easily picked up by reading a few pages of the docs. The model loading section is a little outdated as Three.js docs now recommend using gltf files. If you're a blender user like myself the Three.js repo no longer supports the json exporter. Overall it felt like this course was lacking more in depth instruction on the interactivity of three.js as well as use of materials and lighting.

By James Kadra on 7/8/2018

Each section is short and gets you going quickly. The instructor covers the basics and then points you in the right direction for continued learning. I would purchase from this instructor again.

The course is very good. I liked it point the POV of a person who has good knowledge of JS already. Just one thing I would like to add is that the instructor could have explained the types of models and their formats in little detail.

By Atiqah Hafiz on 11/27/2017

Good for an intro to threejs. Very basic but gets you up to speed with the fundamentals. Would be better if the mistakes and debugging were edited out. It was okay initially but he makes mistakes every lesson which is wasting our time. It gets tiring waiting for him to debug and get on with the actual teaching.

Good insight into 3D programming, this course has helped me in front-end design which I searched over website for long long time. The lecturer is good, knowledge covered are easy to understand. However, I would hope to see more real-world application or more complex project to be built at the end of this course. (perhaps Frahaan could create another more advanced course for those interested?) Overall this is an excellent course to enrol!

By Matt Hoover on 6/9/2017

Overview is too brief...very little here that isn't in a 15 minute web page tutorial...also, the reasons for using various materials, or loading formats of models, isn't really covered. Also there is very little content concerning loading different formats other than .json (such as .obj files). And no coverage of any animation system for models (bones or morph targets). All in all, worth $10 but not more.

By Thomas Jost on 1/2/2017

After completing the course, I am further along in my understanding of Three.js . While it does not provide you with all the knowledge you will need to complete advanced projects with three.js, you will walk away with a fundamental understanding of what is needed to piece things together. In a couple of hours I was able to gain more understanding than I would have with double that in reading the docs then proceeding with trail and error. Recommend for someone (like me) who needs to learn this framework quickly for the sake of a short deadline. Now here's to hoping I can launch my soon-to-be-due project with three.js incorporated!

It's a well paced course PROVIDED you have a basic understanding of HTML and Javascript - it is a little light on helpful explanation for those who are coming to this without sufficient background. I certainly learnt from it and at a promotional price of £9 is excellent value for money. The instructor promised source code for each module would be available but I can't see where that code is, which is disappointing.

By Danny Kobayashi on 5/19/2016

I loved this course, it is an unpolished but brilliant gem. The detractors of this course are correct, it has a dearth of supplementary materials, hand-holding and production quality. But - it is the most lucid intro to 3d programming with three.js that I have found in any book or tutorial. The selection of topics is a small but nonetheless perfect guide to the essentials. And anyone who has toiled with native WebGL will appreciate the huge value of three,js. Thank you to the course developers - you have transformed the months I invested in learning WebGL from a lost cause to a foundation for a very cool coding adventure.
