Vector Logo Design in Affinity Designer (Udemy.com)

Excellent course in every way. The explanations were clear and concise, and the instructor annunciated every word so that there was no confusion. I also liked that he first provided an overview of theory and fundamentals before walking us step-by-step through two examples, with variations. He then reviewed each project in detail. In addition to all of this we are guided through client communication tips as well as many other suggestions about the design process. I got more than my money's worth and would definitely buy other Affinity and general design courses by this instructor.

Disadvantages: This course i suggest is for very begginers. Half of it is about how to use Affinity Designer, if you ever hadnt. The logos are quite simples / ugly. Advantages: Everything is explained very properly. I found some few useful things i didnt know before.

Very organized and well-spoken explanations of each step of making a logo. It's amazing how much subtlety there is to this work - The teacher really has a knack for drawing out subtle feelings evoked by a particular logo. There is also good business-side information to help people turn logo design into a business. I'm not taking the course for this reason, but think it's a great and necessary aspect to cover in such a course.

This course was exactly what I was looking for and more! I expected to see some examples of how to draw logos in Affinity Designer. But I was very happy to also learn about the process of coming up with ideas for creating logos. Especially the sketching process is very interesting. Understanding the workflow of a professional logo designer is worth so much more than just learning the tools in Affinity Designer. So I'm very grateful for all the information presented in this course. A big plus is also the instructor's valuable help in the Q&A section. He kindly and patiently helped me with his feedback so that I was able to create my first logo. :-) I'll certainly buy more of his courses.

Brilliant and excellent course in Logo designing using Affinity Designer. I already purchased his other logo design courses using Adobe Illustrator (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) along with his letterhead & stationary design course. I am almost going to complete his beginner logo course in Adobe Illustrator. I need to say, that after completing this course, I decided myself to go with Affinity Designer as compared to Adobe Illustrator for its simplicity and affordable pricing structure. I recommend this course to everyone who wants to make a career or do business as a logo designer. It's a really nice course. I learned a lot. Love the tests you get at the end of the section. I already bought the following up courses, even though I had to finish this one. Daniel is quick on giving feedback. He knows so much and has a kind way of directing you in the right way. I loved the whole course and learned already a lot how to design a logo. If you want to learn to design original logos, this is the course you have to take.

Good Match for an Affinity Photo experienced user, could have added comments in the last section about how the different options affect the layers panel. In the move tool lesson 8 no mention is made that if you hold down the Shift key when rotating it will rotate in 15degree segments although this is mentioned in lesson 38. In lesson 26 is uses Cmd which is a Mac control function and no mention is made that on a PC you need to use Ctrl. The tutor is always mentioning that we need to learn shortcuts but in The colour Panel lesson no mention is made that the easiest way (in my opinion) to change from fill colour the stroke colour is the press 'x' on the keyboard. In lesson 32 Masking layers, when you add a mask to a layer it does not always become a child layer and users of Affinity Designer should be made aware of this. I signed up for an Affinity Designer course but the latter part of the course refers to Adobe Illustrator which I do not own or have a copy of on my computer although I suspect that most of the topic is directly transferable but it is a little disappointing that some sections have been copied from another course. But overall a decent course that has allowed me to use Affinity Desiner in my Photographic work

Just bought Affinity Designer as refuse to pay extortionate Adobe price for Illustrator. I am a freelance web developer who has used both Photoshop and Illustrator in the past. The only thing I haven't really done is logo design so this course helps in two ways for me. Letting me know how to use Affinity Designer in respect to creating logos and the process for creating logos. Just would like to add that the course needs to be updated to cover the newer tools in Affinity 2

As a first time user of Affinity Design I felt this course was very informative and helpful to any new user. A full overview of the tools and their capabilities was given and truly appreciated. I have completed my first logo as one of the assignments and it was easy to remember the well placed steps put out for us to follow. I would recommend this course to anyone trying to further their design knowledge for work or for pleasure.

The instructor demonstrates he knows logo design very well. If you are new to affinity designer or want to learn logo design, this course is for you. A great part of this course is the instructor got to the point. If I had to change one thing, the instructor should provide the unfinished projects in the course. (Not sure, maybe I couldn't find the resources. I only saw the finish logos without the dots, scanned version).... It would have been nice to build it with you from start to finish. Overall, I really learn all the nessessary tools.
