Hi, I'm James. I have helped thousands of people learn how to develop their own games in Unity, and whether you're a first-time developer, or need to refresh your skills, I can help you learn to make the games you want to make.
With a bachelors degree in Computer Science and a background working in independent game development, I have been helping others to create their own games and release them on multiple platforms.
I believe in helping you learn by teaching code in context, so rather than having to memorize a bunch of stuff you've never seen before, you learn how each coding concept can be applied to real working problems in your games.
I can't wait to help you learn all about making your own games and how to make them a success.
So why not start learning to make games with me now?
See you soon!
James

I would say our teacher 'James' has done a good job making the course clear and concise. This is exactly what you need to create your first step, a simple tutorial because a journey to every level of programmer is a project based infrastructure. I have learned the fundamentals and advanced stuff i wanted to learn from you, and may there be better game developers in the future under your wing. Thank you for your time

for a fresh rookie in Unity and C# Programming is the Course in my Opinion the best Choise to learn any first Steps about FPS Games. The Structure of the Course was solid and clearly to understand. Thank for the Adventure and learning for many Features at the Beginning

Doesnt seem compatible with lastest unity version. Asked a question in the Q and A and sent a private message to the teacher, but got no response. Cant get a refund cuz if loader the end files to test and confirm it was compatible. Scammed.

Really loved the pace for the most part, and I liked that you went step by step. You've made the idea of making a game a lot less intimidating to me! I would say my only level of feedback would be I usually prefer functions that are broken up into smaller pieces on the controllers. I work in web application development, so I understand that it's a matter of preference.

this course was just epiphany after epiphany! as a beginner, this was the most fun, fast paste course ive taken. i took my time with this course so instead of 9 hours i spent 14+ hours on it. i plan on doing a visual and audio overhaul now that i finished the course. thank you for making this course!

If you are new to Unity, it explains it in a very nice language, it is neither difficult nor tiring, it teaches the basic logic very well, I definitely recommend it for the beginning.

I was very pleased with this course. I saw some connections with previous courses. There are some things included in other shooter created by James that were not in this one, such as a bullet effect on the wall but I will add that into my own game. Overall I really enjoyed this 10hrs and would recommend. Thanks James :)

I Wish I could give a higher rating than 5 stars. (It is that good.) Best C# course I have taken and the first C# course I actually completed (in one week.) this is a great beginner course and for me a great refresher course. It is simple and straight to the point. However, it doesn't follow a lot of best coding practices such as using functions to do one thing and it doesn't incorporate delegates, cofunctions, events, and other advanced topics (which is good because that would over complicate things, and I can easily figure that stuff out myself.) It teaches you exactly what you need to know in the simplest way possible while still allowing you to create a functional FPS game. The course is so logically put together that I was able to figure out how code things, on my own, before he even showed me how.

The course is overall really good, but there are some bad coding habits here and there. For example, most of the code is written directly inside the Update() function without any refactoring, which ends up creating spaghetti code. Also, things like animator.SetBool("moving", true); are copy-pasted multiple times instead of being put into a separate method. It would've been nice to see cleaner practices, especially for beginners. That said, it's still a solid FPS course and I’d definitely recommend it to those starting out.

Love all of James' courses. This is probably the 7th one I have done from him and I find them all very informative. I will always suggest any course from James as he always describes everything in simple, easy-to-learn methods. Everything is straightforward and great for any beginner.
